CONCORSO A INVITI PER LA PROGETTAZIONE DELLA NUOVA CITTA' GIARDINO DI SONGJIANG - REPUBBLICA POPOLARE CINESE

Il progetto della nuova città di Songjiang fa parte del progetto "Undici città ed un paese" dell'Agenzia di progettazione amministrativa del distretto di Songjiang.

La proposta, presentata in collaborazione con lo studio inglese "Natural Building Design" parte dalla richiesta della committenza pubblica di ricreare una nuova città giardino di ispirazione anglosassone, suggerendo un nuovo modello abitativo urbano nel quale possa essere raggiunto un buon equilibrio tra l'ambiente artificiale e l'ambiente naturale. 

Concepita come una nuova grande città, Songjang è stata pensata come una città ideale: come un modello di alta qualità di vita per i suoi abitanti ed un riferimento per le prossime città satellite di Shanghai.

Una città funzionale con alti standard di servizi ed infrastrutture, quali i trasporti pubblici, le attrezzature per il turismo e il tempo libero, un Polo Universitario e un centro per gli affari.

La città storica, segue il principio del recupero e della salvaguardia dei sui ricchi e antichi manufatti architettonici tramite il restauro di ampie porzioni della città vecchia da recuperare, cosi come le tipologie abitative tradizionali, modelli di riferimento ed ispirazione per quelle di nuova progettazione.

The project of the new city of Songjiang is in the program “11 cities and 1 town” of the Songjiang District Planning Administrative Bureau.

This proposal, in collaboration with "Natural Building Design Firm" for the new city aims to suggest how to create this new habitat where a good balance between artificial and natural environment can be achieved.

At the same time special attention is put on functional items in order to make Songjiang not only a beautiful place to live but also a modern and lively city with state-of-the-art services and infrastructure for business and commerce.

 

Conceived as a new town, Songjiang will be:

 

An ideal town: as a model of high quality of life for its inhabitants and a reference for the next satellite towns of Shanghai

 

A functional town: due to its high standard services and infrastructures, such as public transportation, leisure and tourism facilities, the university and a business centre

 

A town of memory: due to the presence of ancient relics to be restored, the conservation and renewal of large parts of the old city, the use of traditional typologies as a reference for the new design
